International celebrity Tems is about to receive again another RIAA plaque for her realse ‘Higher’.
According to the chart news platform Chart Data, ‘Higher’ has sold over 500,000 copies in the United States, making it eligible for an RIAA plaque.
‘Higher,’ one of the songs on her EP ‘For Broken Ears,’ was released in 2020. ‘Higher’ is the EP’s second RIAA gold record, following the gold certification of ‘Free Mind’ in 2022.
Tems has maintained international patronage since gaining world recognition in 2020 as a result of her role played in Wizkid’s ‘Essence’.
With Future’s ‘Wait For U,’ she was the first Nigerian musician to debut at the pinnacle of the Billboard Hot 100. Her single ‘Free Mind’ was on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 21 weeks.
She has platinum plaques for ‘Essence’ and ‘Wait For U,’ as well as solo gold certifications for ‘Free Mind’ and ‘Higher,’ making her one of Nigeria’s most RIAA-certified artists.
