Olamide Baddo the boss of YBNL has given the reasons behind signing artists like Fireboy DML, Asake and others to his label.
Olamide said that when he built up so much wealth that he didn’t know what to do with it, he then decided to sign new talents.
He claimed that it was his way of giving the streets back the support it gave to him by supporting upcoming musicians in realising their music
The YBNL Boss said, “I just started stacking up money and the money was becoming too much for me. I was like, ‘Yo, I don’t have anything to do with this money. I need to sign new guys. Let me spend money on people. You know it is just like my own way of giving back to society.”
A lot of successful names, like Adekunle Gold, Asake, Fireboy DML and many others have shown appreciation to the boss himself.
Olamide launched his record label YBNL (Yahoo Boy No Laptop) Nation in 2012 and has helped the street a lot.
